Concord grapes are a "slip skin" grape, meaning the innards are easily separated from the skins. Even then, there's seeds to contend with, so for fresh eating, they can be a challenge. However, it's worth the effort. They're excellent for making the most intensely flavored grape jelly, which is our primary use for them.

The grapes start to ripen around September/October, which is when our Concord grape jelly becomes available.
